Jay Sikes
Architect at Smith Sinnett Architecture, Raleigh, NC
Education:
Bachelor of Art in Architecture, UNC Charlotte (2005)
Bachelor of Architecture, UNC Charlotte (2006)
“My time at UNC Charlotte was, not only, fundamental to my development as an architect, it was instrumental to my development as a person,” says Jay. “The lessons I learned and the relationships I made endure to this day. The education I received propelled me toward graduate studies at Columbia University, and ultimately a fruitful career as an architect, working in New York City, Washington DC, and now back in North Carolina. I often reflect on the particular type of architect I’ve become and I attribute that completely to the program at Charlotte. I wouldn’t change my experience for anything.”
