The College of Arts + Architecture had nine students compete in the recent Musical Theatre Student Auditions for the North Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Signing (NATS), which took place on November 10 and 11 at Meredith College in Raleigh. Founded in 1944, the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) is the largest professional association of teachers of singing in the world, with more than 7,000 members in the United States, Canada, and more than 35 other countries.

We are pleased to announce that the following students competed against 330 students from across the state and obtained high ranking scores to qualify for advancement to the MidAtlantic regional level of the NATS competition, which will take place in March 2025 at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina:

Students Braden Kneeshaw, Keilah Jones, Izzy Oyler, Abigail Roscoe, Jylian Taylor, and Abigail Williams also qualified for advancement to the MidAtlantic competition.

The College of Arts + Architecture is also pleased to announce that we will serve as the hosting site for the NATS Student Auditions for the North Carolina Chapter Spring Conference: Classical Categories in February 2024.
