How did you first get interested in theatre?
I have always been an artist; whether it was painting or sculpting, I loved it all. It wasn’t until high school that I really discovered theatre. My freshman year I got thrown into a theatre class, and couldn’t get out. It wasn’t until I met some of my best friends that I realized this might be where I’m supposed to go.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to continue stage management, and eventually work in youth theatre.
What is your favorite thing about the Department of Theatre?
Everyday I am shocked about all the aspects of technical theatre. I transferred to UNC Charlotte from UNC Asheville after UNCA announced the closing of their Theatre Department. Since coming to Charlotte, I learn something new everyday, I am challenged to pull new ropes I never knew existed, and push myself to become the best I can. My professors and my peers are driving me to become the best I can.
When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I love to crochet and play video games, and it’s even better with a cat.
