How did you first get interested in theatre?
Performance has always been a big part of my life—I started in first grade, inspired by my family’s love for music. I was lucky enough to have great instructors both in and out of school, who not only supported my growth as a performer but also guided me in discovering my voice and understanding my identity.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to graduate from UNC Charlotte and head to graduate school, studying either Musical Theatre Performance or Arts Administration.
Post Graduate school, I’d love to become a college instructor. I’m passionate about sharing what I have learned through my time here at UNC Charlotte with aspiring artists, helping them face the challenges of the industry while encouraging their creativity and growth.
What is your favorite thing about the Department of Theatre?
As a transfer student, I’ve truly found my community here at UNC Charlotte, particularly within the theatre department. The faculty and staff have been incredibly supportive, dedicating their time and energy to help me grow as an artist. Their consistent investment in my success means the world to me.
Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I have worked with several theatre companies, including the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory as a teaching artist and DPAC through the DPAC Rising Star Awards Program. I have collaborated with an assortment of additional community theatres and organizations as well.
When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
When I’m not performing, I really enjoy thrifting, playing the guitar, and curling up with a great book or movie!
