Rodrigo A. Jimenez, originally from Chile, studied Latin American Folklore and Flamenco, which he began performing at an early age. In the United States, he continued his dance studies on International Latin Ballroom (Silver Medalist), Latin American Folklore, Flamenco, Argentine Tango, Capoeira and Popular Latin Dances. He has performed and toured in the United States, Europe, South America and recently Asia.

Rodrigo has been Teaching and performing in Charlotte since 2003 at several Events, Schools, Festivals and has also been part of major shows and productions in very important stages including The Halton Theatre (CPCC), McGlohan Theatre (NCBPAC), Booth Playhouse and a production with the Opera Carolina and the Charlotte Symphony at the Belk Theater.

Two times consecutive first places at the annual State Latin Dance Competition, “Competencia Baile Música Latina” organized by the NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center (2004 & 2006), Rodrigo has also worked as a Teaching Artist for the NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and the North Carolina Dance Theatre.

Along with his wife and dance partner Wendy have owned two Dance Studios “World Dance Center” for several years until they decided to go back to school and pursue a degree in Dance. Since 2008 Rodrigo has been working as an adjunct Faculty Dance Instructor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).

Rodrigo & Wendy (“RW Latin Dance”) are the directors & promoters of a major annual Latin Dance event in Charlotte “Salsa Invitational” bringing world renowned artists and instructors to train the community of Charlotte and surrounding areas, promoting the Latin culture through Dance & Music. They train constantly with world master instructors and champions in various dance styles and continue touring, performing and teaching at numerous Salsa Congresses around the US and abroad.
