Meena Carr is the Assistant Technical Director for the Performing Arts Services unit. Meena has worked in various theaters, including University of Arizona Theater department (degree-seeking carpenter/ welder), University of Arizona Opera department (Assistant Technical Director), Moonlight Amphitheatre (Vista, CA), and Santa Fe Opera (Santa Fe, NM).
After graduating with a BFA from The University of Arizona, Meena moved to Charlotte in 2011 with her fiancé and dog. She worked as a scenic carpenter/ welder for the Children's Theater of Charlotte (CTC) while working with the local stagehand union, I.A.T.S.E 322. She has worked on numerous productions at CTC as well as helped with touring shows/ Broadway/ corporate events. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri, for a short period of time but made her way back to Charlotte, where she resides with her husband, two kids, and two dogs.
