Kazuko Adachi

Kazuko Adachi is a native of Tokyo, Japan. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Hungarian pianist Béla Siki. While at CCM, Kazuko was a ballet accompanist for the preparatory department. Upon graduation, she served as an accompanist for the dance departments of the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. Since 1991, Kazuko has accompanied for the North Carolina Dance Theatre, now Charlotte Ballet. She has also been an accompanist for the School of Dance at the Chautauqua Institution since 1997. Kazuko has accompanied for a number of celebrated dancers and choreographers, including Patricia McBride, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Violette Verdy, Salvatore Aiello, Dwight Rhoden, Alonzo King, Daniel Ulbricht, and Michael Vernon.
