Jennifer Dior is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music where she earned a bachelor of music performance degree in 1987.

She has lived in Charlotte NC since 1990.  She’s been teaching at UNC-Charlotte since 2002. Mrs. Dior also teaches younger students for Community School of the Arts and at her home studio in Charlotte. She has taught at Winthrop University (summer camps) and Wingate University. She gives master classes and group lessons at many area public and private schools. 

She has played full time second flute and third flute/piccolo with the Charlotte Symphony. She’s played principal flute in the S.C. Philharmonic in Columbia, SC, second flute in Greenville (SC) Symphony, third flute & piccolo in the Greensboro Symphony, and second/piccolo in the Roanoke, (VA) Symphony. She’s substituted with the following orchestras throughout the southeast: Asheville Symphony, Charleston (SC) Symphony, N.C. Symphony and the Western Piedmont Symphony Orchestra. 

She has played solos on flute and piccolo with the UNCCharlotte Symphonic band, 

Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and the S.C. Philharmonic. She has played chamber music in the Charlotte area with Chamber music at St. Peters, Providence United Methodist series and many others.
