Light Rail
The CATS LYNX Blue Line extension provides light rail service to the University’s main campus at two convenient locations: the J.W. Clay/UNC Charlotte Station and the UNC Charlotte Main Station. We encourage you to consider this option when planning your trip to the University. Information on train schedules and fares is available on our light rail website.
Parking on Campus
After entering campus at the main gate off Hwy 49/University City Blvd., bear right at the traffic circle onto Mary Alexander Road. Robinson Hall will be the first building on your left. Continue past Robinson Hall until you see the entrance to East Deck 1 on your right. Complimentary parking is available for performances and all Rowe Gallery openings.
Directions: UNC Charlotte Campus Venues
To Robinson Hall: Upon parking, exit the deck, cross Mary Alexander Rd. at the crosswalk, and proceed straight along the wide brick path toward the center of campus. At the first walkway intersection, turn left. The back of Robinson Hall will be straight ahead, across the quad, and on the right. Walk straight along the side of the building and around the front to enter the main lobby.
To Rowe Arts Building: Upon parking, exit the deck, cross Mary Alexander Rd. at the crosswalk, and proceed straight along the wide brick path into the center of campus. Rowe Arts Building is on the left directly across from the Belk Plaza.
To Storrs Building: Upon parking, exit the deck, cross Mary Alexander Rd. at the crosswalk, and proceed straight along the wide path toward the center of campus. Storrs Building is the first building on your left.
Directions: The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City & The Projective Eye Gallery
The Center City Building is located at 320 E. 9th Street at the corner of Brevard Street.
The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City does not have separate parking dedicated to the campus. Therefore, it is very important to thoroughly read all information related to parking when visiting The Dubois Center. Any violation received must be disputed with Preferred Parking directly.
Parking, available by University permit and the Park Mobile app, is available at 422 E. 9th Street (Gravel lot) at the corner of 9th and Brevard. Handicapped parking is available at 625 N. Brevard and requires a University permit with Dubois Center parking privileges and the appropriate placard.
There are a number of pay-to-park options within walking distance of The Dubois Center.
Accessibility
UNC Charlotte is committed to having an accessible campus for individuals with disabilities. To request accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), individuals should complete a request form or email the request to accessibility@charlotte.edu, or contact the Office of Disability Services at 704‑687‑0040 (tty/v). Requests should be made at least 7 business days prior to the event.
ADA Parking: For easy pick up and drop off, patrons may use the circular drive at the front of Robinson Hall. ADA-accessible parking is also available in Lot 28 adjacent to Robinson Hall.
Wheelchair & Companion Seating: Available for all performances. Limited, free wheelchair-accessible parking is located in the lot immediately adjacent to Robinson Hall. Call the Box Office for details: 704‑687‑1849.
Assisted Listening: Robinson Hall is equipped with an FM Assistive Listening System, and an audio amplification system. Free headsets are available at the box office on a first-come, first-served basis.
Closed Captioning: This season, closed captioning will be available for our four Department of Theatre mainstage productions, powered by CCTheater, from AccessTech, LLC.
Large Print & Braille Programs: Large print and Braille playbills are also available but must be requested from the Box Office Manager 72 hours prior to the performance.
