How did you first get interested in music?
I got into music because I was captivated by the beauty and emotions that music can convey, and how it has the power to bring people together. I was also fascinated by the strength and expression of the human voice, which deepened my appreciation for different musical forms. My love for video game music inspired me to learn piano, so I could play my favorite tunes, and that eventually led me to explore even more instruments, including the bass.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
One day, I dream of becoming a world-class singer.
What is your favorite thing about the Department of Music?
My favorite thing about the department is the professors. The professors here are insanely talented and knowledgeable.
Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I sometimes play bass with a group known as the “Charlotte Strings Collective,” a group of talented string players who come together to bring music to life.
When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
Practice!
