CANCELLED Reception: Michael Swisher, A Retrospective

April 17, 2020 - 5:30 PM to April 18, 2020 - 6:59 PM
Storrs Gallery

After careful thought and consideration, UNC Charlotte has decided to cancel the remainder of the events for the Spring 2020 semester. This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one in protecting the health and well-being of our campus community.

We look forward to being back on the stages and in the galleries in the Fall!

This retrospective exhibition celebrates the 30-year career of Michael Swisher, associate professor of architecture. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and the Massachusetts College of Art, he has exhibited his paintings commercially for over two decades.

Swisher’s primary teaching responsibilities include first year studio and skills, as well as visual studies electives. He has co-authored or authored papers in philosophy of mind and foundation pedagogy. His most recent publications are a small book for the School of Architecture on the curriculum and sequence of studies in the first semester foundation program and a co-authored book with Jeffrey Balmer, Diagramming the Big Idea (Routledge, 2012).

This exhibition is on view in Storrs Gallery, April 10 – 21, with a reception on April 17, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
