The UNC Charlotte Chamber Orchestra, led by Jonathan Govias, celebrates the many voices of the Americas in its second "Symphony of Diversity" concert. A human and musical representation of this state, nation, and hemisphere, the performance showcases the diversity that continues to elevate us socially, economically, and artistically. More than 50% of the repertoire is by women composers, including the rarely-heard Piano Concerto by Clara Schumann, and the American premiere of a new work by a leading composer. Internationally distinguished pianist Sara Davis Buechner will grace the stage for the Clara Schumann Piano Concerto, and the Northwest School of the Arts Orchestra will join the UNC Charlotte Chamber Orchestra for three of the works.
