Alumnus Named Associate Principal at DS+R

Sean Gallagher was promoted to Associate Principal on June 1.

Architecture alumnus Sean Gallagher (B. Arch. 2000) was promoted to Associate Principal at Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) on June 1. Sean has been with DS+R since 2010 and is Director of Sustainable Design. 

At DS+R, Sean has played a critical role in the interview teams, visioning process, and on-going strategies for many of the studio’s recent projects, including Budapest Transportation Museum, MIT MET, Microsoft Jewel Box, Google Pier 57, China's South Sea Pearl Eco-Island, and United States Olympic Museum. Currently, Sean leads the Rubenstein Forum project, a state-of the-art conferencing facility under construction at the University of Chicago, and the redesign of Discovery Place Science museum in Charlotte. He is also is a board member on the Embankment Preservation Coalition (EPC) and Jersey City Arts and Architecture Committee, working with the Jersey City Government to transform the downtown abandoned Pennsylvania raised rail into the nation’s first naturally grown urban forest conservation territory that will have public access to the East Coast Greenway project connecting Florida to Maine.
