Architecture Students Receive Diplomas from China
Congratulations to architecture students Kel Cooper and Nathalie Slobodiuk, who have received diplomas to mark completion of the Masters of Architecture from the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Kel and Nathalie are the first students in the three-year Masters of Architecture II dual degree program that UNC Charlotte shares with Tongji University.
The program requires 32 credits completed at UNC Charlotte in the first and third year of study; students spend the second year abroad in China. During that year at Tongji University, students study Chinese history, culture, and language as well as work on a thesis project, complete an internship, and take elective courses.
Kel, who is from Edenton, NC, and Nathalie, who is from Los Angeles, CA, spent the 2014-15 academic year in China and will complete the UNC Charlotte requirements this spring, graduating in May.
