After graduating with a BA Arch and MArch from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Mason began his professional career with a brief tenure in single family residential where he worked closely with the firm’s principle to offer client-driven services for custom home design. From there, Mason entered a position with a multidisciplinary firm, working throughout the firm on project types including, but not limited to, commercial adaptive reuse, multifamily housing, and medical office buildings (shell and upfit). Mason is now an Associate Project Architect with Hord Coplan Macht in the Housing, Mixed-Use, and Planning studio. Outside the office, Mason is an active AIA member focusing largely on mentorship and professional development in the local architecture programs.

Mason's interests span from digital advancement and productivity in tools like Revit and Adobe suite, to sustainability and people-centered design. He is passionate about creating spaces that foster wellness, diversity, and community.
