CoA+A Advising Program Wins Provost’s Award for Excellence
The Office of Academic Affairs has announced that the College of Arts + Architecture Advising Program has been recognized with the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Academic Advising for the 2016-17 academic year. The award will be conferred at a special reception in the fall.
The mission of the College of Arts + Architecture (CoA+A) Academic Advising Program is to create an information-sharing and decision-making framework that requires students to be active participants in their education, which in turn enables them to identify and accomplish their educational, personal, and career-related goals.
Under the leadership of Director of Advising & Assessment Elena Payne-Wiens, the CoA+A advising team includes Priyal Shah (Academic Advisor, School of Architecture), Dr. Jose Gamez (Associate Director, School of Architecture), Megan Garner (Academic Advisor, Department of Art & Art History), Hannah Harrell (Performing Arts Academic Advisor) and Tesh Ramey (Arts Education Specialist).
