Kira Wagner is the NC winner of the MTNA Young Artist Solo Competition in the Brass Area.
Student Kira Wagner has been named the North Carolina state representative for 2021-2022 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Young Artist Solo Competition in the Brass Area. The three-tiered competition begins with a state round in the fall, followed by a division round in the winter and a national round in the spring.
Kira is a senior from Jackson, New Jersey. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in trumpet performance and studies trumpet with Dr. Eric Millard.
Kira will advance in the competition to the virtual division level with a 30-minute video recording and compete against other college students from across the Southeast.
