UNC Charlotte Graphic Design Program Ranked #3 in NC
The graphic design program at UNC Charlotte has been ranked third in the state by Animation Career Review (ACR) in its 2020 rankings. The ACR provides rankings of animation, game design, illustration, and graphic design programs across the United States and abroad. Annual rankings of graphic design programs began in 2015.
The ACR reviews all degree-granting schools except two-year community colleges. For the 2020 rankings, 712 college/university graphic design programs across the country. Criteria considered include academic reputation, admission selectivity, depth and breadth of the program, and cost/value. Last year, UNC Charlotte’s program ranked #4 in North Carolina.
While graphic design is currently one of ten concentrations within the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art, Studio Art degree offered by the Department of Art & Art History, the department will launch a new specialized degree, the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, in 2021.
