Masters in Architecture

2024

How did you first get interested in architecture?

My family always encouraged me to pursue a business career as I was growing up, because that’s the path they followed. However, I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career linked to the Arts. I discovered architecture once I got a bit older, and since then, I have not stopped admiring it. I continue to discover its capacity and power to change the lives of people and entire populations every day. That is what motivates me daily to continue in this career and to continue preparing myself to be able to contribute to it.

What kind of career do you hope to have?

I want a career as an architect with a specialty in urban design. I also hope that my job pushes me to continue to learn the good that architecutre can do and how I help others using it.

What is your favorite thing about the School of Architecture?

The facilities they provide us to develop our skills in the field, like the services of laser cut and wood lab. I also appreciate the emphasis they put into the research labs.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy going hiking and other outdoors activities. Charlotte has a lot to offer, and I was recently able to go to Crowders Mountain.  I’m looking forward to discovering all over the city.
