Music Department Announces 2016-17 Masterclass Series
The Department of Music announces the 2016-17 Masterclass Series. The Department will bring seven esteemed musicians to campus to coach music students this academic year. These professionals represent top-notch local musicians as well as guest artists performing with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and Opera Carolina.
Students in the College of Arts + Architecture benefit greatly from the vibrant cultural life in the Charlotte community. In addition to masterclasses such as these, the five departments of the College collaborate with local arts and design institutions to host guest lectures and artist residencies, present workshops and conferences, participate in field trips, and provide student internships.
The Department of Music masterclasses take place in Rowe Recital Hall and are open to the public.
