Three New Novels by Distinguished Professor
Dr. Andrew Hartley is publishing three new novels this spring. An internationally recognized Shakespeare scholar and the Robinson Distinguished Professor of Shakespeare in the Department of Theatre, Hartley also writes adult and young adult science fiction and thriller novels under the names of A.J. Hartley and Andrew Hart.
Cold Bath Street is a young adult thriller/ghost story set in Hartley’s hometown in Lancashire, England, and inspired by a local legend. Lies that Bind Us, is an adult psychological thriller that reached #1 for sales on Amazon’s Kindle (ebook) list in early May. This fall, Hartley will direct a Department of Theatre production of Twelfth Night, which will run October 28-November 4. He will also collaborate with Charlotte Ballet choreographer Peter Chu on a ballet based on Shakespeare’s work.
