Theatre Professor Named VP of Black Theatre Network
Assistant Professor of Stage Voice Chris Berry has been named the Vice President of the Executive Board of the Black Theatre Network. Founded in 1986, the Black Theatre Network is comprised of artists, educators, scholars, students, and theatre lovers who are dedicated to the exploration and preservation of the theatrical visions of the African Diaspora.
Berry is an actor, director, educator, and producer from Long Island, NY, whose credits include the web series Hampton 10-10 and and stage work at Playmakers Rep, Trinity Rep, The National Black Theatre, the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center’s National Playwright’s Conference, The Classical Theatre of Harlem, and Trinity Repertory Theatre (among others). He joins the Department of Theatre this fall, having previously served as Assistant Professor of Theatre at Florida A&M University. Read his bio here.
