STAFF SPOTLIGHT
What/where did you study and when did you graduate? I studied Theater Performance and English at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY and I graduated in 2006. Fun fact: after graduating, I spent some time playing Odie on a national tour of A Garfield Christmas.
What is your hometown? My hometown is Wethersfield, CT- a small town right outside Hartford, and the oldest town in CT!
What do you do to be creative? While this current phase of my life doesn’t include performing, I have channeled my creativity into baking, home design projects, and most notably, doing lots of “voices” while reading to my 3-year-old daughter. 🙂
What is your favorite thing about UNC Charlotte or The College of Arts + Architecture? I love the team that I work with in Performing Arts Services. Many of them have been here for years and they’re all consummate professionals in their respective fields. It’s also very fulfilling to be a part of a student’s journey at Charlotte whether it’s as a supervisor or mentor. I love witnessing what they go on to accomplish after graduation, and it’s an honor to be a small part of that.
What do you like to do for fun? I am a big consumer of popular culture and I love to travel. I also consider dining out a hobby. During the pandemic, the travel radius has shrunk, dining out has become dining in on take-out (shameless plug for my brother’s restaurant- @thedegenerateclt in Villa Heights), and media consumption has become television, movies, podcasts, and books. On the weekends, you can find me running around my neighborhood in Plaza Midwood or visiting my parents and in-laws in Oak Island with my husband and daughter.
