Student, Professor, and Alum Participate in Children’s Theatre New Play Development

Three members of the College of Arts + Architecture family recently participated in the development of a new play at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Theatre student Ginger Duchi, theatre professor Kaja Dunn, and dance alumnus Alex Aguilar joined playwright L.M. Feldman and director David Winitsky for a week-long professional workshopping of Feldman’s play, Tropical Secrets: Holocaust Refugees in Cuba, June 10-15. The play, part of Children’s Theatre’s “Kindness Project,” will be produced in the 2020-21 season.
Children’s Theatre of Charlotte (CT Charlotte) is the city’s top professional theatre company, producing hundreds of performances every year. “The Kindness Project” is centered around four world-premiere plays commissioned by CT Charlotte and presented between 2018 and 2021.
