BFA with a concentration in Graphic Design Minor: Journalism

2025

How did you first get interested in art?
I’ve always grown up loving art and creating, but it wasn’t until highschool that I realized my passion was specifically in Graphic Design. I am such a people person, so I love the idea of using language and art to connect with others and share a bigger story.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to have a career working in social media or the creative department at a church!

What is your favorite thing about The Department of Art & Art History?
My favorite thing about the Graphic Design program of the Department of Art & Art History is the community and the professors. Everyday I am learning something new about this field and the encouragement and corrections are always so helpful. The professors do an incredible job preparing us for the real world and growing friendships with my classmates has been so sweet.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
This semester I am working with COA+A as their Photography Intern. In this role, I have been able to capture the life of our side of campus and share all of the wonderful things everyone is doing.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
For fun, I love to play my guitar and write songs! It has truly brought me so much joy. I also love spending time with my friends, taking photos, and discovering new coffee shops in Charlotte.
