How did you first get interested in design?
I became interested in all of the various art forms by attending Ballet for 11 years starting at 2 years old, being active in Art classes and Art camps, as well as being in some local musicals. I really found my passion through Architecture which combined my interests in the arts and in the mathematical side of thinking.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I would love to be a Licensed Architect in multiple nations, working for firms that have International projects or even starting my own firm that takes on projects worldwide.

What is your favorite thing about The David R. Ravin School of Architecture?
My favorite thing about the School of Architecture at UNC Charlotte is the collaboration. The curriculum makes it a key part in our learning that we collaborate and work as groups of students, as well as collaborate with our professors for research studies and for career opportunities.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I do attend chorus and theatre performances as often as I can, as I want to support my fellow colleagues and friends who are in the performances!

What is something that you have gained from that Arts + Architecture Honors Program?
I have gained a lot of knowledge about how to take whatever you are doing one step further. I feel as though my studies of Architecture have been tremendously sprung forward in the sense that my Honors classes have proven that "taking it a step further" and "asking yourself how to make this more significant" makes each project more relevant.

Can you speak about your experience as a scholarship student?
I am under various scholarships and am truly grateful to be receiving the extra funding for my Architecture degree. It has been a relief knowing that some of my educational finances are taken care of, which allows me to push myself further and take up opportunities that are in the form of education or career advancement. I hope to continue earning more scholarships and be able to show those who generously donated their capital into my education that I am doing something worthwhile with my degree.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
When I am close to campus I like to workout and go to UREC classes with my friends, and when I am home I love Horseback riding and traveling!
