How did you first get interested in dance?
I started dancing at the age of five at a local dance studio. I soon fell in love with Hip-Hop dance and Contemporary. After years of competing with my studio, I found joy in helping assist dance classes and teaching combinations. I knew then that I wanted to be a teacher in some capacity. After viewing the Spring Dance Concert of 2023 after an Admitted Students Day, I fell in love with the Charlotte Dance Program. 

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to work as a Dance Teacher in Secondary Education. I would also like to potentially audition for a dance company. 

What is your favorite thing about the Department of Dance?
Honestly my favorite thing about the Dance Department is the people. They make it easy to enjoy dancing and collaboration. As well, I love how we have opportunities to practice and perform in different works and shows.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
If I am not in class or dancing, I typically like to hang out with friends or read. I am also into gaming on my Nintendo Switch.
