How did you first get interested in art or design?
I got interested in design when I was in high school. I started to think more about how impactful and communicative design can be. Whether it was a fun doodle or a class presentation, I loved to design things in my own unique way!

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to have a career that continues my dream of staying creative and continuously learning new skills in designing!

What is your favorite thing about the Department of Art & Art History?
My favorite thing about the graphic design program at UNC Charlotte is the faculty and my peers. My professors and peers have not only fostered an amazing community of creatives in the graphic design program, but also continue to cultivate invaluable experiences needed to grow as a designer. I am forever grateful for the place that I have in the design community here at UNC Charlotte.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I am a creative designer intern at UNC Charlotte Business Services and a designer for Midas Magazine. At my internship with Business Services, I worked on an exciting project for Upper Prospector’s renovations. For this project, I was tasked with designing two murals that are on view in the Oasis bar area (“Oasis Garden”) and window area towards the Smith building (“Path By Moonlight”).

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I like to draw in my free time and learn different languages! I love being able to learn something new as a creative and as someone who always seeks more knowledge.
