Michael Figgers

Dr. Michael Figgers was born in Quincy Florida and is the second oldest of 10 siblings.  Dr. Figgers earned a BS in vocal music from Florida A & M University.  He also earned a Master’s degree in Music Education and a Doctorate degree in Choral Conducting from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. Michael has taught elementary music, middle school chorus and high school band in the public schools of Florida. Michael is presently the Director of Music at Nations Ford Community Church in Charlotte, NC and an adjunct professor of Music Education at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife, Dr. Vanessa C. Figgers, four sons, Michael II, Jonathan, Donovan and Julian.
