How did you first get interested in architecture?

I run a lot, and as a result I have been to a lot of places on foot and seen how different it is from passing through in a car. That led to an interest in architecture being the study of not only how people interact with places, but also how places shape those interactions.

What kind of career do you hope to have?

Small scale residential design, more specifically infill development like ADUs (accessory dwelling units) or community spaces.

What is your favorite thing about the David R. Ravin School of Architecture?

The people.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts/design community?

I lead Young Life at a high school nearby.

Do you have any merit/departmental scholarships? If so, can you talk about the benefits?

I am a Boardman Scholar. As the son of two teachers this scholarship has made it much easier to continue my education without as much financial burden.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?

Usually I am outside running, building something with found materials or with friends.
