How did you first get interested in dance?
My mom danced professionally as a principal ballerina. So as soon as I could walk, I was enrolled in dance classes. 

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I currently plan to pursue ballet professionally, both on-stage as a performer and off-stage as a choreographer. 

What is your favorite thing about the Department of Dance?
Getting to study with such an interdisciplinary focus; you truly become a full-bodied, mature artist by studying and taking in every technique possible, it allows you to find your voice in a way nothing else can. 

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I am a lifelong student of Charlotte Ballet Academy, and have performed with them yearly for over a decade!

What have you gained by being a scholarship student?
I have a couple dance department scholarships! The opportunity to work as a face of the department and help show new students what the department is like has been irreplaceable. 

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I love hanging out with friends, playing video games and Magic: The Gathering, spending time with my pets, or just generally goofing off, being mischievous, and engaging in tomfoolery.
