How did you first get interested in architecture?
I first became inspired to design while working during Covid at a design build firm. I wanted to make a greater impact on the community that I was a part of and felt that returning to school may have been the best way to get there. I was also inspired by my mentor at the time who had studied at UNC Charlotte, so I followed in her footsteps.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to one day have a career which would allow me to be a part of large scale projects. I like thinking of the big picture and how everyone will be affected by the changes we have the ability to make within spaces.

What is your favorite thing about The David R. Ravin School of Architecture?
I really appreciate the connection between students and professors within the School of Architecture. I am never nervous about approaching a professor for help or guidance whether it be with a school project or personal issue. The dynamic that has been cultivated within the school is like nothing else.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I am currently President of the Masters of Architectural Student Society, which has been a long standing organization within the School of Architecture. We host guest speakers within the school every year that allow us to invite students from all along the east coast to come and show off their best work!

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I am a big fan of run clubs throughout the Charlotte area! It really lets me get a closer look at some of the wonderful homes that are built throughout the city. I also love board games.
